The Seeker of Allah who does Zikr is called Zaakir. Plural is Zaakireen. The "remembrance" or the act of methodically remembering the Holy Names by Seeker of Allah usually through rhythmic manner as a spiritual exercise. Plural of Zikr is Azkaar. At P31 Jamey ul Asraar Hazrat Sultan Bahu Rahmatullah Alaihe says that heart becomes Living through Zikr and the Nafs becomes Dead. At P63 Taufeeq ul Hidayat it is mentioned Becoming engrossed in the Wird and Wazaaif recitation and Zikr and Mazkoor. He is called Zaakir. It is Farz (Obligation) Waajib (Most Essential) Sunnat and Mustahib (Recommendatory) to have Initiation (Bai-at ) on hand and Talqeen of the Murshid-e-Kaamil . It is because Satan should not get dominance upon the Living-Hearted Zaakir of Allah (P170 Muhik ul Faqar Klaan).
