[However], these are the Karamaat of the Aulia Faqeer Dervish that he should acquaint a person with the Name-Allah-the-Essence (Ism-e-Allah-Zaat) and should make him Absorbed in the Tauheed of Lord and should honor him with the Majlis of Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam.

 

"Istiqamat is superior to Karamaat". (One) should Follow the footprints of Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam both verbally and practically.

 

HADIS

(Saying of the Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam)

That person, who has attained unto the Marifat of Lord, thus, he finds no taste in meeting with people.

 

It has been said that: The condition of the Seeker in the hands of the Murshid is same as the condition of the dead body is in the hands of the person who gives it the funeral bath.

 

The Holy Prophet of Allah Hazrat Muhammad Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said that: On the Day of Judgment, three types of people will be those, whose Intercession will be like that of the Prophets, that is, the Martyrs, Kaamil Aulia and Khadim (servant).

 

Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa Sal Allahu Alaihe Wa Aa-lehee Wa-sallam said that: The chief of nation is the servant of Faqeers.

 

Preaching and advising is other way. Ilm, Fazeelat and sagacity is another path. The Arif-Bi-Allah Haq Pasand (liked by Haq) is other way.

 

BAYT (COUPLET)

That, which is liked by the Holy Creator, is good;

No problem if it is not liked by people!

 

Allah Almighty says: Allah (Himself) is witness that there is no God save Him. And Angels and men of learning (too are witness). (3:18)

 

Hazrat Shah Abdul-Qadir-Jelaani Qaddas-Allahu Sirru-hul Aziz said that "Love with Allah abhorrence and displeasure with the Outsiders of Allah develops".

 

 

 

ABOUT ISTIQAMAT AND KARAMAT: Uprightness is called Istiqamat, which implies that the Faqeer should remain safe against unrighteousness and should never allow the taint of Nafs and Satan in him. It also implies that he should never be desirous of anything else besides Allah. That unusual outcome that apparently seems impossible, if that happens by the Aulia-Allah Rahmatu-Allah Ta'ala Alaihim, then it is called Karamat and if such happens by a non-believer, then it is called Istadraaj. Since, in Karamat, there is possibility of the taint of the Nafs that is why Istiqamat is above Karamat.
